Any person violating, causing or permitting a violation of any provision of this chapter or the provisions adopted or incorporated by reference shall be guilty of a class B misdemeanor and shall be punished by a fine of not more than one thousand dollars or by a jail sentence not to exceed six months or by both such fine and imprisonment.
