After all plans and specifications have been approved by the City Engineer as provided in this chapter, the applicant for an extension under this chapter at his own expense may then take construction bids and submit the same to the City, or the applicant may request the City to advertise for construction bids. In either case, the City shall at its expense provide the engineering and supervise the work in order to ensure compliance with city specifications. (Prior code § 26-48)
