This chapter shall govern and control the erection, remodeling, enlarging, moving, alteration, operation and maintenance of all signs within all zones. It also provides penalties for violations of this code. Nothing contained in this chapter shall be deemed a waiver or variance of the provisions of any other articles or sections in this code applicable to signs. Signs located in areas governed by several sections of this code shall comply with all such sections. In the case of contradicting requirements or provisions, the more restrictive shall apply.
