There is established the office of City Attorney. The person(s) providing legal services to the City as City Attorney may be independent contractors designated by the City Manager or may be a full-time city employee. Any applicable contracts for legal services are subject to approval by the City Council. Persons providing legal services to the City shall do so without a specified term, and services may be terminated as otherwise provided by contract. (Ord. 18-04 (part), 2018: prior code § 2-43)
