The Mayor and recorder are authorized to apply for and enter into an agreement with First Western National Bank, providing for the issuance of credit cards to city officials and employees as may be designated in a writing delivered to First Western National Bank and signed by the Mayor and the Recorder, and undertaking to indemnify First Western National Bank and hold it harmless for any charges made on those cards by those authorized officials and employees, whether or not the particular charges have been authorized, to the extent permitted by law, and warranting the payment of those charges by the City, if not paid by the individual cardholder.
