A. Maximum Permissible Sound Pressure Levels. No person shall operate or cause to be operated on private property any source of sound in such a manner as to create a sound level which exceeds the limits set forth for the receiving land use category in Table 1 when measured at or within the property boundary of the receiving land use.

B. Exemptions. The provisions of Table 1 shall not apply to:

1. Those activities already regulated by Section 8.24.040(B), Specific Prohibitions;

2. The unamplified human voice Monday through Saturday from seven a.m. to ten p.m. and nine a.m. on Sunday. From ten p.m. to seven a.m. Monday through Saturday and nine a.m. on Sunday, the unamplified human voice is not exempt from Table 1;

3. Interstate railway locomotives and cars;

4. Vehicles crossing the property line accessing private property or public roadways;

5. Nonstationary farming equipment and all agricultural activities;

6. Emergency vehicles or work;

7. Bells or chimes from places of religious worship;

8. Noise resulting from lawful fireworks and noisemakers used for celebration of an official holiday;

9. Construction activities and operating or permitting the operation of any mechanically powered saw, sander, drill, grinder, lawn or garden tool, or similar device used outdoors in residential areas on Monday through Friday between the hours of seven a.m. to six p.m., Saturdays eight a.m. to six p.m. and Sundays nine a.m. to six p.m. or as specified in the conditions of approval;

10. Snow removal;

11. The Moab Water Reclamation Facility;

12. Activities for which a special event or street performer permit has been issued pursuant to Title 4;

13. Any noise resulting from the maintenance of golf courses;

14. The Grand County High School;
