No person convicted of any offense against this code or any other ordinance of the City, and in lawful custody therefor, shall escape from such custody. No person shall aid or assist another to escape from lawful confinement or aid or assist another to escape from any peace officer. No person shall take into the jail, or deliver to any prisoner therein confined or in custody of any officer or such prison, any weapon, tool, intoxicating drink or other article or attempt to do so.
