The regulations set out in Sections 17.09.220 through 17.09.230 are established to increase safety and lessen congestion in the public streets, to provide adequately for parking needs associated with the development of land and increased automobile usage, to set standards for off-street parking according to the amount of traffic generated by each use, and to reduce the on-street storage of vehicles. There shall be provided minimum off-street parking spaces with adequate provisions for ingress and egress by standard sized vehicles in accordance with the requirements of this code at the time of erection of any main building or at the time such buildings are structurally enlarged or converted to increase the use or capacity of the buildings. Parking arrangements must be approved by the Zoning Administrator; four inches of gravel may be allowed for parking lots less than seven spaces if the spaces are delineated and are maintained weed-free.
