As used in this chapter:

A. “Public accommodation” means a place providing temporary sleeping accommodations to the public and includes:

1. A motel;

2. A hotel;

3. A motor court or recreational vehicle park;

4. An inn;

5. A bed and breakfast establishment;

6. A condominium;

7. A campground operated by a nongovernmental entity;

8. A resort home; and

9. A transient apartment rental.

B. “Rent” means and includes:

1. All room charges, exclusive of charges for food and beverages or related items subject to sales taxation;

2. Fees for the occupancy of a dwelling or site;

3. Timeshare fees and dues.

C. “Transient” means a person who occupies a public accommodation for thirty consecutive days or less.

D. “Person” means any person, firm, partnership, association, corporation, or entity of any kind. (Ord. 97-22 (part), 1997)
