A. It is the duty of the owner or caretaker of any dog or cat to provide a suitable collar for each dog or cat. Each pet’s license tag shall be attached to the collar and must be worn at all times when off the premises of the owner or caretaker.

B. In place of a collar and tag, an owner or caretaker of a cat may have the license number tattooed in the cat’s ear.

C. Proper licensing may also be accomplished through the use of implanted microchips or other means as approved by the animal control officer. (Ord. 07-12 (part), 2007)
